Sicilian Orange & Mango Marmalade

Frutteto means ‘orchard’ in Italian as we choose to make our Frutteto Sicilian Orange & Mango marmalade with sun-kissed juicily-fresh oranges directly from the orchards of Sicily. Unusually, the oranges are cooked whole giving a brightly-coloured thick texture and zesty taste of a Mediterranean summer, quite unlike traditional marmalade!

In the Tuscan hills near Florence, we make our healthy jams. Of artisan quality, we cook our Sicilian Orange & Mango marmalade gently at low temperature, in small batches to preserve the fresh fruit flavour, vitamins, minerals, fibre content and aroma. Unlike the traditional way of cooking jams and conserves, which can destroy the goodness with harsh heat. Fresh oranges are a good source of fibre, vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin C, thiamine, folate and potassium. While fresh mango is high in fibre, vitamins A and C, vitamin B6 and other essential nutrients such as potassium, copper and amino acids. All the fruit used is certified organic and is rigorously tested to ensure there are no residues of pesticides or of PFAS ‘forever’ chemicals.
